Background

Loud Luxury is a Canadian music duo. Varfaj Partners brought me on to design a website supporting their merch store and tour schedule, giving fans a central place to browse merchandise and purchase tickets to upcoming shows.

My Role

I led web design for the site and created motion graphics for it, an area I was personally interested in exploring and a natural fit for a music-driven brand. The engagement lasted roughly a month or less, which meant moving quickly from concept through final design.

Design Direction

Given the client's identity as a high-energy music act, I leaned into a bold, colorful visual language rather than a restrained e-commerce template. Aqua framing, saturated pink controls, rounded surfaces, and large performance photography created a system that felt closer to the energy of a live set.

Tour Dates and Ticketing

Touring needed to be useful, not only expressive. I organized Las Vegas residencies and other dates into parallel lists with clear venue, location, ticket, and RSVP actions. The dark translucent panel retained the visual atmosphere of the homepage while making a dense schedule easy to scan.

Responsive Experience

The mobile design preserved the performance-first hierarchy while simplifying navigation and tour access for a narrow screen. A full-screen menu kept the four core destinations prominent, and the homepage maintained direct access to both Las Vegas and broader tour dates.

Mobile Interaction Flow

The mobile prototype tested how the same visual language could move through navigation and content without losing clarity on a smaller screen.

Motion as Part of the Interface

Motion added energy to a site that otherwise risked feeling static beside Loud Luxury's live performance persona. The prototype explored transitions between the homepage and tour schedule, using movement to connect moments rather than treating animation as a decorative layer added afterward.

Animated Logo Glitch

I also developed a short glitch treatment for the wordmark. The red and cyan displacement gave the identity a digital pulse that could support transitions and loading moments without competing with the site content.

Outcome

The site gave Loud Luxury a central hub for merchandise and tour dates. It was one of the more visually expressive projects I took on with Varfaj Partners, pairing bold art direction and authored motion with functional e-commerce and ticketing needs.
